Four bluebird eggs today:

Bird news to cheer me up....

OK, just went out to the sun, plugged in the fountain (wouldn't a remote be so nice), & took a peek in the bluebird houses. One had the start of a nest (the male will do more than one, & the female chooses - love this plan), & the other had a complete nest with 3 eggs! Hopefully it's an active project, which likely will mean a fourth egg tomorrow.

Oh, and... saw my first hummingbird of the season yesterday at the feeder I'd just put out Friday. (Keegan claims to have seen one a few days ago. He's probably right.) She was not shy, & hummed around me often as I worked nearby. Fascinating creatures! I have to find that second feeder. It's in the garage somewhere. So is just about everything else. Somewhere.
